Family of 4 escapes Springhill fire unharmed

The Canadian Red Cross says a family of four escaped unharmed from a fire that gutted their house in Springhill late Saturday.

The Red Cross said the couple and two children — ages 21 and 11— are staying with relatives.

The blaze on Lorne Street was reported around 10 p.m.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
