A hairstylist's car went up in flames early Tuesday when a trunk full of hair care products exploded.

A hairstylist's car went up in flames early Tuesday when a trunk full of hair care products exploded.

Cape Breton Regional Police said the man smelled smoke as he was driving on MacDougall Street in Glace Bay.

The man pulled over to check the trunk. When he pulled the rear seats forward, the hair care products ignited.

It wasn't long before the car was engulfed in flames.

The man wasn't hurt. His car, however, was extensively damaged.
