An Enfield man has been charged with 17 counts of possession of proceeds of crime and one count of money laundering.

Kenneth Pittman, 59, was charged after a year-long RCMP investigation.

In July 2010, police seized several kilograms of marijuana from Pittman and his partner Ramona Price. They were both charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and cultivation.

In November 2010,RCMP seized a $26,000 vintage 1969 Corvette, a 1997 Chevrolet GMT-400 truck, an all terrain vehicle and a ride-on lawn mower and $36,000 in cash, as well as other personal and household items worth more than $50,000.

Both of Pittman's Horne Settlement and Hants County properties, valued at about $300,000 combined, had orders placed on them so that he and Price couldn't sell them while their case was before the courts.

Police also seized several firearms during the execution of a search warrant. Charges related to that search are still pending.

Pittman is due in Shubenacadie court in relation to the charges on August 29.
