Elderly Halifax woman rattled after home robbery

Police in Halifax are looking for two men who broke into the home of a 74-year-old woman and robbed her Thursday night.

Police in Halifax are looking for two men who broke into the home of a 74-year-old woman and robbed her Thursday night.

Police said the two suspects entered a home near the Armdale roundabout around 11:30 p.m.

Sirje Weldon said she was reading in her bedroom when two men entered the room and threatened her.

Weldon said one of them was armed with a gun but she said she put up a fight. Police say she was not harmed.

The two men were last seen running down the St. Margarets Bay Road towards the rotary.

Police described one man as about six feet tall, with red hair wearing a yellow hoodie.

The other suspect is shorter, about five feet eight inches tall, dressed in black and was wearing a ski mask, said police.
