Economy driver turns himself in after hit and run
A 25-year-old man from Economy has turned himself in to police in connection with a hit and run involving a pedestrian.

RCMP in Colchester County said a 22-year-old woman was hit by a stolen vehicle after leaving a New Year's Eve party at the Economy Community Centre.
She was travelling along Highway 2 at about 1:30 a.m. when she was hit by a Jeep.
Sgt. Allan Affleck said the driver fled the scene and the vehicle was later located a short distance down the road in a ditch.
An investigation revealed the car had been stolen from the community centre parking lot shortly before the incident.
The victim is in hospital in Halifax in critical condition.
