Thieves in Antigonish made off with some unusual booty on Boxing Day, police said.

A large khaki coloured bag containing 18 duck decoys was stolen from a parked vehicle, Antigonish RCMP Cpl. Shannon Fear said in a release.

The bag and decoys of blue-billed ducks are worth about $300.

The theft happened between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 while the vehicle was parked at the corner of Hawthorne and Pine streets, Fear said.

The bag is about four feet wide by three feet deep by four feet high. It has six open compartments on the top and has the words "Avery" and "Ducks Unlimited" on the front.

Fear said that police believe the culprit or culprits may have been seen walking in the area of Hawthorne, Pine and Northview streets carrying the bag after the theft.

Anyone with information is asked to please call the Antigonish RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
