A break and enter has resulted in a dead dog and property being stolen from a home in North Preston, RCMP say.

Thieves made off with two televisions and shot a dog inside the Simmonds Road home sometime between Thursday afternoon and early Friday morning.

Two other dogs on the property were found unharmed.

The residents were not home during the time of the break-in.

RCMP say they have not received any complaints of shots being fired in the area, but they are still investigating.
