Dartmouth shooting victim dies of injuries
Raymond Floyd Peters, 24, was shot several times Monday
Halifax Regional Police say the man shot in Dartmouth late Monday afternoon has died of his injuries.
Raymond Floyd Peters, 24, was shot several times during an altercation in a backyard at the corner of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive.
Peters was able to escape to an apartment on Jackson Road, where the ambulance later picked him up and took him to hospital.
Peters died Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the suspect in the case is a black man in his 20s, who is about 5'8" tall. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the shooting.
This is Halifax Regional Municipality's first homicide of 2013.
