Dartmouth shooting sends 1 to hospital
A 20-year-old is in custody following a shooting Saturday morning on Westmount Drive in Dartmouth.
Police say a 22-year-old victim was found lying on the roadway at about 3:40 a.m. suffering from a serious, but not life-threatening gunshot wound.
He has undergone surgery.
A suspect fled the area but officers cordoned off several streets and were able to convince the 20-year-old to surrender.
RCMP say the shooting was not a random act and believe the suspect and victim knew each other.
