Crews respond to Beaver Bank house fire

Emergency crews were at the scene of a house fire on Beaver Bank Road outside Lower Sackville on Tuesday morning.

The fire started outside the two-storey house at 515 Beaver Bank Rd. under a side deck, fire officials told CBC News. The outside of the house was scorched and there was smoke and water damage inside.

The cause is being investigated.

RCMP said everyone inside the house got out safely and was uninjured.

Fire officials said neighbours in the area reported hearing an explosion but it was unclear what may have caused it.

Traffic in the area was rerouted to Majestic Avenue, a nearby intersection.
