Costco employee dragged out of vehicle in Dartmouth

Police in Halifax are looking for a man who pulled a woman out of her car in the parking lot of the Costco at the Dartmouth Crossing shopping centre early Thursday.

Police in Halifax are looking for a man who pulled a woman out of her car in the parking lot of the Costco at the Dartmouth Crossing shopping area early Thursday.

Just before 4 a.m. AT, a female Costco employee was sitting in her car in the parking lot at Countryview Drive when a man pulled the door open and dragged her out of the vehicle, Halifax Regional Police said.

The woman screamed and the man fled on foot.

Nothing was taken and no one was injured.

Officers used a canine unit to scour the area but the man was not found.

He is described as black, between 20 and 30 years old, heavy set, about six feet tall and was wearing a winter coat, gloves and a toque.
