Special artwork commemorates Information Morning's 50th
Share your stories for the chance to receive one of these limited-edition prints
Information Morning for Mainland Nova Scotia is celebrating its 50th birthday this year (June 1, 1970 to be exact), and we've created something special to share with you.
CBC has commissioned a limited-edition Nova Scotia-themed watercolour print by local artist Sarah Duggan to commemorate the occasion, and we have a number of them up for grabs for our audience.
Sarah's inspiration for the art were the people, the conversations and the stories that shape Information Morning. "It is meant to represent my take on Nova Scotia kitchens. Cozy, sharing food, coffee and stories. The piece is meant to feel conversational (and a bit celebratory for the occasion). I also tried to incorporate the diversity of our province and the sense of community and togetherness we have here."
For a chance to get your hands one of these beautiful prints, we want to hear from you. We want to know:
What's something you've heard on the show that has changed the way you think about Nova Scotia?
We'd love to hear your voices! Call us on Talkback at 1-800-582-5526 to share your story. We will do our best to get as many on the show as we can. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will do a random draw for one of 50 prints available.
And listen on Friday, June 26th, from the comfort of your home, for a special Information Morning 50th birthday show. What better excuse to have cake for breakfast!?
