Charges pondered after Dartmouth attack
Halifax police have released a teenager they took into custody following an incident that sent a man to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers were called to an apartment building on Portland Street in Dartmouth just before 1 p.m. on Monday after a 43-year-old man had been struck with a baseball bat.
Police say their initial investigation suggests the altercation stemmed from a domestic dispute and that the teen had intervened.
They also say that it appears the man who was assaulted was the one who brought the baseball bat, but it was taken from him.
Police say they are consulting with the Crown regarding the possibility of charges.
