Car collides with dump truck in Beaver Bank

One person has life threatening injuries following a collision involving a vehicle and dump truck near the 1400 block of the Beaver Bank Road just before 6:30 p.m.

A 23-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision involving a vehicle and dump truck near the 1400 block of the Beaver Bank Road just before 6:30 p.m.

The driver and sole occupant of a Chevrolet Colbalt was transported to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre.

The 41-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the dump truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Both drivers are from Beaver Bank.

Beaver Bank Road was closed between Pinehurst Way and Kinsac Road for much of the evening.

Traffic was rerouted through the Lost Creek subdivision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
