Canning house fire injures man, displaces brothers

The Canadian Red Cross says there were two fires Wednesday in the Annapolis Valley, one of which has displaced two adult brothers.

The Canadian Red Cross says a fire that broke out before 10 p.m. extensively damaged a home

A man was sent to hospital with burns to his head and hands following an evening fire at a home in Canning, N.S., Wednesday night.

The Canadian Red Cross says a home was extensively damaged in the fire that was reported just before 10 p.m.

Volunteers are helping two adult brothers with food and a place to stay, the organization says.

Earlier Wednesday, a fire on Harmony Road in Nicholsville, not far from Aylesford, caused significant damage to a house.

No one was home at the time but the Red Cross says it will help, as needed.
