Burned-out Dartmouth pub hit by thieves
Police say suspects took advantage of a bad situation, 3 facing charges
Three people are facing charges of break and enter, and theft this morning after the Neighbour's Pub was hit by thieves Saturday night.
Staff Sgt. Bill Morris said the suspects took advantage of a bad situation. Neighbour's was forced to close after a fire on Friday morning.
"They had it boarded and I guess they were in the process of repair and these guys went in and helped themselves," said Morris.
He said they found stolen goods including electronics and foodstuffs in a nearby apartment.
A 42-year-old from Dartmouth was taken into custody. A 21-year-old and a 19-year-old will appear in court at a later date.
