Boy, 10, found near Bridgewater

A 10-year-old-boy who went missing from the Dayspring Children's Centre just outside of Bridgewater, N.S., on Saturday night has been found safe.

A 10-year-old-boy who went missing from the Dayspring Children's Centre just outside of Bridgewater, N.S., on Saturday night has been found safe.

RCMP Const. Dal Hutchinson said the boy was found about 10 kilometres away from the centre, a temporary home for youth.

Police had earlier said that when the boy left, he was not wearing a jacket or shoes.

Lunenburg Ground Search and Rescue, RCMP members and police dogs were searching for him overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Lewis said the boy, who is from Cape Breton, has a history of wandering away.
