Body of missing man found

Cape Breton Regional Police confirm the body of a man who was found Saturday in the woods in River Ryan, Cape Breton, has been identified as that of Allan Gregory Boudreau.

Cape Breton Regional Police confirm the body of a man who was found Saturday morning in the woods in River Ryan, Cape Breton, has been identified as that of Allan Gregory Boudreau.

The 53-year-old had been reported missing on Thursday. He was last seen in late February.

His body was discovered by members of his family who were looking for him along a trail near his home on Union Highway just south of New Waterford.

So far police are not saying how long Boudreau's body had been in the woods or what might have led to his death.

A medical examiner is expected to perform an autopsy on Sunday.
