Halifax's Bluenose Marathon will bring about 12,000 runners to the city streets, but many runners are concerned about the big hill in the middle of the short course.

Runners in the five kilometre race will start on Sackville Street, run along the base of Citadel Hill to the north end of the city, before doubling back and going straight up — and then all the way around — the city's biggest hill.

The CBC's Michael Dick put on his sneakers and found out how hard it will be to run.
