Children's Wish Foundation grants $5K shopping spree wish

Brain tumour survivor Bianca Lombard heads to Mic Mall Mall thanks to Children's Wish Foundation.

Bianca Lombard's dream came true Thursday when she went on a shopping spree at Mic Mac Mall

Brain tumour survivor Bianca Lombard went on a dream shopping spree Thursday thanks to the Children's Wish Foundation.

The 14-year-old was given $5,000 to spend at Dartmouth's Mic Mac Mall.

"To me, it means everything cause I've been wanting this, for like, forever," said the Dartmouth girl.

She says she didn't have a strategy for what she planned to buy. Some of the things she picked up included a bracelet, laptop and a stuffed animal of Olaf from Frozen.

"It was all for me," she said with a laugh.

Lombard's mother was thrilled the dream became a reality.

"I'm overjoyed," Angela Lombard said. "It's just something she's wanted for so long. I can't thank them enough for doing this for my daughter."

In the spring, things didn't look so good.

"We almost lost her," Angela Lombard said.

Bianca had a brain tumour removed during a 14-hour surgery at the IWK Health Centre.

Lombard said when her daughter learned her wish had been granted, she was ecstatic and jumped up and down.
