Beaconsville man hurt in ATV crash
A Beaconsville, N.S., man was seriously injured in an ATV crash Saturday night.
The 55-year-old man was riding his ATV 15 kilometres off a road in West Dalhousie in the Annapolis Valley just after 10 p.m..
Sgt. Rocky Calhoun of the Annapolis District RCMP said the call for help came at 10:13 p.m.. The man was in the lead ATV with a group of friends on a fishing trip.
"His ATV left the road and rolled, coming to rest in a body of water," Calhoun said Sunday.
"The driver was assisted by other people who were traveling with him, while others went for help. The victim was transported to Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton and was later airlifted to the QEll. He remains in hospital with serious injuries."
He said the investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing.
