Baseball bat assault in Dartmouth sends 1 to hospital
A 34-year-old man is in custody and facing charges after another man was sent to hospital following a baseball bat assault in Dartmouth Wednesday night.
Police say they were called shortly after 8 p.m. to the area of Trinity Avenue and Nadia Drive after reports of many people fighting in the street.
Officers found a 35-year-old victim. He was taken to Dartmouth General Hospital with injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
Police arrested a suspect and seized the bat. He is being charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon and will be in Dartmouth provincial court Thursday.
