Addictions wait times now posted online
Nova Scotians struggling with addiction can now seek information on how long they might have to wait for help.
The provincial government has posted information on wait times online for programs — including adult community-based services, detox centres and follow-up treatments.
"We are providing Nova Scotians with the information they need to make decisions about when and where to receive the best possible treatment," said Health and Wellness Minister Maureen MacDonald in a news release.
The government said data will be updated four times a year.
"This information helps us tailor our programs and services when we can, to better meet the needs of the clients in our community," said Robert Graham, manager of addiction services for the Colchester East Hants Health Authority.
