Accused in Clifton St. killing awaits bail hearing
Dylan Peter Roach due back in court next month
A 20-year-old man charged with murder in a fatal shooting in Halifax's north end will be in custody for a month while he awaits a bail hearing.
Dylan Peter Roach is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Corey Duane Lucas, who was shot and killed at an apartment on Clifton Street on May 25.
Roach is also charged with the attempted murder of a 31-year-old man who was shot in the leg and injured in the same incident.
Roach made a brief appearance in Halifax provincial court on Tuesday, where he was remanded until a bail hearing on July 26.
The 20-year-man is also one of three people charged with drug-related offences in the days following Lucas's death. Roach will appear in provincial court on those charges on Thursday.
