4 in custody after Dartmouth store robbery

Four men are in custody in Halifax after a convenience store in Dartmouth was robbed early in the morning.

Four men were in custody in Halifax on Sunday after a convenience store in Dartmouth was robbed early in the morning.

Two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the Needs on Prince Albert Road at about 3:15 a.m., police said.

The men ordered the clerk to go to a backroom and stay there, while they took cash and cigarettes. No one was hurt.

Later, four men were taken into custody after being stopped in Eastern Passage, and officers are now questioning them, police said.

A police spokesperson said it's too early to say if anyone will be charged.
