4 arrested after alleged Port Hawkesbury assault

Four people have been arrested after a man in Port Hawkesbury reported being attacked in his home on Saturday, said RCMP.

Four people have been arrested after a man in Port Hawkesbury reported being attacked in his home, said RCMP.

Officers were called to 651 Queen St. on Saturday at approximately 7:00 p.m.

When they got there, the man said four people had come into his home, beat him up, struck him with a hammer and stole some items, said the RCMP.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax with non-life-threatening injuries.

Port Hawkesbury RCMP said four people were arrested.  They've been released with future court dates. They're charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and break and enter.
