Three people walking in northend Halifax Saturday night were robbed at gunpoint, Halifax regional police say.

At about 11:12 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a robbery complaint in the area of Maynard and Cunard streets, Sgt. Kevin McNeil said.

Two females and a male told police they were walking in the area when three young black males approached them.

One of the men produced a handgun, McNeil said, and pointed it at the male.

Money was taken from the male and one of the females by the suspects, who then headed north on Maynard Street.

There were no reported injuries, he said.

The suspects are described as being between 12 to 16 years old, slim, black and wearing hooded shirts.
