3-car crash sends drivers to hospital

A Cape Breton man who was injured in a three-car crash Wednesday night faces charges of impaired driving.

A Cape Breton man who was involved in a three-car crash in Gardiner Mines Wednesday night faces charges of impaired driving.

The 33-year-old man from the Glace Bay area and two other drivers were taken to hospital following the crash on Seaside Drive.

Cape Breton Regional Police said one car struck another, causing it to spin around and smash into the third car.

One of the drivers will be sent to a Halifax hospital for surgery, but police said his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are also charging the 33-year-old man with failing to provide a blood sample.
