3 arrested in Spryfield stabbing

Halifax police say three people were arrested Tuesday after a 19-year-old man was stabbed at a home in Spryfield.

Halifax police say three people were arrested Tuesday after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in Spryfield.

Police say the man was stabbed several times at a home on Orange Walk. They found him at nearby Lavender Walk just before 4:30 a.m.

The man was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old woman, 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were arrested separately. Police say charges are expected.

Police say the stabbing was not random and the victim knew his attackers. They say it was a dispute that turned violent.

Brandon Hatcher, 20, was shot and killed on Lavender Walk in December.

Const. Brian Palmeter, spokesman for Halifax Regional Police, said Tuesday's stabbing is not related to the Hatcher case.
