A second person has died following a crash on Highway 105, near Wagmatcook First Nation Tuesday, RCMP confirm.

A second person has died following a crash on Highway 105, near Wagmatcook First Nation Tuesday, RCMP confirm.

Elizabeth O'Connell, 45, of Truro died Thursday afternoon as a result of her injuries after being airlifted to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Tuesday.

The crash happened at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when a van crossed over a solid double line and caused a four-vehicle crash, including a tractor-trailer.

Marty Claude Robbins, 52, was the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am and died at the scene. O'Connell, Robbins' partner, was also in the car.

The New Brunswick driver of the van has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act.
