2 teenagers arrested for car-hopping in Lower Sackville

Two Nova Scotia teenagers face a slew of charges after allegedly stealing from multiple cars in Lower Sackville.

A 3rd youth, 11 years old, was released and cannot be charged

Two Nova Scotia teenagers face a slew of charges after allegedly stealing from multiple cars — known as car-hopping — in Lower Sackville.

After executing a search warrant at about 10:25 p.m. on Saturday night Halifax police seized a number of stolen items including cash, store points cards and electronics.

A 15-year-old male from Cole Harbour faces several Criminal Code charges including possession of stolen property, trespassing and breach of undertaking.

He will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Youth Court on Monday.

A 17-year-old male from Lower Sackville faces three charges of possession of stolen property.

He was released and will be appearing in court at a later date.

A third youth, 11, was released and cannot be charged.
