2 shot outside Dartmouth pool hall
Gunshots fired during a disturbance outside a Dartmouth pool hall early Sunday injured a young man and woman, Halifax Regional Police say.
The 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were taken to hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening, and the woman has already been released, police said.
Staff Sgt. Bill Morris said police responded to a disturbance outside Dooly's, which is also a licensed bar, on Portland Street at about 2 a.m.
"When our officers got there, they spoke to a witness who described that there was a disturbance inside the business," Morris said.
"And they'd been ejected from one of the businesses and … the disturbance continued outside, and it appears one person got a firearm and began shooting."
Police are still investigating and had no other details. They have not identified any suspects, Morris said.
