2 people ejected from vehicle in Caledonia crash

Two people are in hospital with serious head injuries after a car crash in Caledonia, N.S., Sunday night.

RCMP said the vehicle was travelling southbound along Highway 8 when it left the road and overturned into a ditch around 8:30 p.m.

A 29-year-old man from Caledonia and a 24-year-old woman from Mahone Bay were both thrown from the vehicle.

The man was taken to the South Shore Regional Hospital, while the woman was taken to Halifax in a Lifeflight helicopter.

Police said they've only been able to piece together a few details about what happen.

They said since both occupants were ejected from the vehicle, they don't know who was driving.
