Two Nova Scotia men were taken into police custody Sunday in connection with an abduction in East Chezzetcook reported Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man from West Chezzetcook and a 21-year-old man from Spryfield are facing numerous charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault, according to RCMP.

Earlier this week a 16-year-old from the Porters Lake area complained to police about being held in shed for two days.

He told police he managed to free himself and ran to a neighbour's house Wednesday morning.

The boy — who is well-known in the justice system with 27 criminal convictions — was injured, but would not confirm claims by his grandmother that he suffered burns and broken hands.

He has received treatment in Truro and Waterville.

The two men arrested will be in court Monday.
