1 dead after tractor-trailer, SUV collide on Highway 104

One person is dead after a head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and an SUV along Highway 104 in Antigonish County on Tuesday night.

One person is dead after a head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and an SUV along Highway 104 in Havre Boucher, N.S., Tuesday night.

Antigonish RCMP said they got the call around 5:40 p.m.

The SUV driver, a Port Hawkesbury area man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.

Officers are investigating near exit 38.

Police said the stretch of  highway between Monastery and Aulds Cove will be closed until around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
