Officers from the Arviat RCMP detachment responded to the report of a disturbance at a home early Sunday morning.

Const. Ian Kaulback has been charged with one count each of careless storage of a firearm, breach of recognizance, and mischief under $5,000. He is to appear in court in Arviat on Aug. 18.

Under bail conditions for the Labrador charge, he cannot use the internet or any mobile device except to communicate with his lawyer. He can be in the "presence" of children in public spaces, but may not communicate with them.

His preliminary inquiry on the luring charge is scheduled for Nov. 19 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, N.L.
