More northern lights forecast for Tuesday

Social media in Yukon was abuzz Sunday night thanks to an incredible display of northern lights.

This year's "solar maximum" — the peak of an 11-year cycle when more solar flare energy is being released into space, causing auroral activity, likely means a big year for aurora watchers.

According to the territory's Auroracast, conditions should be favourable for more good aurora viewing over the next couple of days, especially Monday night, over the entire territory.

Some CBC Yukon Facebook fans shared their photos of the amazing light show.
