Sexual interference charges against Iqaluit teacher stayed
Mark Caine had faced 3 counts of sexual interference
The three sexual interference charges against Iqaluit teacher Mark Caine have been stayed in court.
Caine was charged in March when he was a teacher at Aqsarniit Middle School in Iqaluit.
He taught technology courses and was involved with the film club and other activities.
When charges are stayed, it means they are suspended, usually for a year, and then dropped if no new evidence comes forward.
The Crown said there was no reasonable prospect of a conviction on all charges.
Caine was not present in court today.
