Shots fired in St. John's subdivision
Gun shots cause damage to vehicles, residence
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Major Crime Unit is investigating reports of gunshots that occurred Friday night in St. John's.
Shortly before midnight, police responded to multiple reports of gunshots on Dauntless Street, part of a new subdivision off Kenmount Road.
A number of vehicles and a residence sustained damage.
Sources said about a dozen police vehicles converged on the area, many of them blocking access to the street.
An RNC spokesperson said the firearm believed to have been used in the offence has been recovered. A silver or grey-coloured car, possibly a Honda, was involved in the incident.
No injuries were reported and no arrests or charges have been laid.
