Security guards at a St. John's retail store kept tabs on a 33-year-old woman until police arrived at the business Saturday afternoon.
Woman charged with theft, public mischief

Security guards at an east end retail store in St. John's helped catch an alleged thief Saturday afternoon.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says when officers responded to a report of a theft around 3:30 p.m., store security personnel alerted police to a 33-year-old woman.
She was arrested and charged with theft, public mischief and a breach of court orders.
She also had several outstanding arrest warrants.
The woman was held in custody for a court appearance.
