RNC investigating St. John's fire that killed one
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a fatal house fire that happened in downtown St. John's on Saturday.
The fire killed one man. A woman, 33, escaped the blaze.
Neighbours say they found the woman wandering in the middle of McKay Street, bare-foot and confused.
The structure had been a boarding house owned by Mariner Property Management Incorporated. The company has seven other properties in central and down town St. John's.
An owner of the company refused to comment to CBC.
Police are still investigating how the fire started.
They have not yet identified the man who died.
