Rigolet woman dies after falling through ice on snowmobile

Police say the 29-year-woman died after her snowmobile went through the ice Sunday evening just outside of Rigolet.

A 29-year-old Rigolet woman died after going through the ice on a snowmobile Sunday night. 

Just after 7 p.m., the RCMP, Rigolet Ground Search and Rescue and the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre responded to a call for help. Some residents helped in the search, too.

The woman's body was recovered by someone in the community using a boat.
