One injured, one missing in Labrador cabin fire

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and fire officials are investigating a cabin fire that left one man injured and another missing early this morning.

Around 2:45 a.m., police and fire crews were called to a fire at  De Mille Lake, about 32 kilometres east of Labrador City.

The fire was still burning when they arrived at the scene.

 An adult male was transported to hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A second man, who was believed to be inside the cabin, remains unaccounted for.

Investigators are searching the scene, and fire investigation and forensics units are en route from St. John's.

The cabin was severely damaged in the blaze.
