Two senior lawyers debate the Justice Department name change. Plus Liberal leader Dwight Ball on the demand for a snap election.

On this week's On Point, two senior lawyers talk about defining justice and a departmental name change, plus the Liberals are calling for the premier to call a snap election.

Manning's appointment to the role of attorney general was big news in the legal community last week, but some have raised concerns about other changes to the department Manning will lead.

Bob Buckingham and Lynn Moore talked about some of the roles of the department and concerns from the legal community about the name change.

The episode was filmed prior to the announcement from Premier Paul Davis on Friday that the department would be renamed the Department of Justice and Public Safety.

Plus, Liberal Leader Dwight Ball is calling for the provincial government to call a general election in the near future.

Ball also talks about what he calls instability in government, unappointed ministers and possible spending cuts.
