Did Peter Penashue cause himself more harm than good?

The MP for Labrador, and Newfoundland and Labrador's representative in the Harper cabinet, repeated himself — almost word for word — eight times in an interview with CBC News two weeks ago about his election spending irrregularities.

As a result, the interview ended up making headlines, and got people talking.

Communications expert Eric Bergman is the featured guest on this week's episode of On Point with David Cochrane.

Bergman gives his assessment of Penashue's performance in the interview.

Also this week, the On Point panel of Russell Wangersky, Lana Payne and Shawn Skinner discusses the return of the house of assembly's public accounts committee, which recently held its first public hearing in nearly seven years.

Lee Pitts is guest host.
