Sudden death in Kenny's Pond area of St. John's
RNC say it does not appear the death is suspicious at this time
Police are investigating a sudden death in the Kenny's Pond area of St. John's Thursday.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary confirmed that patrol officers and the major crimes unit were on the scene around 3 p.m..
The death does not appear to be suspicious in nature, police said in a tweet, and no further information is available.
The pond is near two retirement homes — Tiffany Village and Kenny's Pond. It's not known if the woman was a resident of either of the homes or from condominiums and apartments in the area that cater to seniors.
Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the St. John's Regional Fire Department and paramedics were all at the scene.
Police presence in area of Kenny's Pond is in relation to a sudden death. Patrol and Major Crime Unit is on scene - no further information is available at this time. This death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.—@RNC_PoliceNL
