6 firearms stolen in Holyrood break-in, police say

RCMP said Monday that thieves broke into two homes on the Conception Bay Highway on Sept. 13, and stole six restricted firearms from one of the residences.

Six long guns were stolen from a home in Holyrood last week, according to the RCMP.

Police said Monday that thieves broke into two homes on the Conception Bay Highway on Sept. 13 and stole six restricted firearms from one of the residences.

All the firearms were "locked appropriately and stored in accordance to firearm regulations," police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the Holyrood RCMP detachment.

Police said their investigation into the incident is ongoing, and they've recovered "undisclosed suspect evidence" from the homes.
