German shepherd attacks N.L. girl
A nine-year-old Corner Brook, N.L., girl was hospitalized Saturday after she was attacked by a German shepherd.
Police say her head and upper arm were injured.
She was kept in hospital overnight and released Sunday.
A Royal Newfoundland Constabulary spokesperson says the dog broke free of a tether on its owner's property and was running loose before it attacked the girl. The animal is being tested for disease.
Police say the dog's owner has decided to have it euthanized.
