The Canadian Tire building on Elizabeth Avenue won't be abandoned for much longer; it will soon be home to Leon's Furniture.

The Baine Johnston Corporation, which owns Leon's, has purchased the building.

The corporation plans to close the current Leon's location on Kenmount Road and move to the new building, which has more retail space.

Canadian Tire moved out of the building almost a year ago once a new location opened on Hebron Way.

The building on Elizabeth Avenue has been vacant ever since.
