A military pilot contacted Transport Canada late last week to report a drone flying close to his helicopter.

According to the Cormorant pilot, the black drone flew within 100 metres of the chopper.
The incident occurred about 15 kilometres northwest of Gander International Airport, and the helicopter was flying about 300 metres above ground at the time.
The pilot described the drone as about one metre in diameter.
No damage was reported.
